Become an Official

The Tennis Canada Officiating Program is responsible for the training, certification, designation, and evaluation of all tennis officials in Canada. We also coordinate all officials working at professional events in Canada (including the two Rogers Cup presented by National Bank events, as well as numerous other ATP, WTA and ITF Pro Circuit events), international competitions such as Davis Cup and Fed Cup ties, and all national championship events (seniors, juniors, wheelchair).

A close partnership has been developed with the provincial associations in the training and coordination of officials in each province, and in the publishing Tennis Canada’s rulebook, Rules of the Court. To learn more about officials and officiating in Canada please consult the Tennis Canada Officiating Department Guide.

The Officiating Department Guide demonstrates how Officials are an integral part of competitive tennis at all levels, both on-court and off. The Guide presents the various roles in Officiating and provides an overview of Tennis Canada’s Officiating Department: who we are, what we do and the development path of our Officials. It also summarizes the products and services that the Officiating Department provides to Officials and to the Canadian Tennis Community.

If you have any comments or questions, or are interested in becoming a member of the officiating program, please contact us at info@tennisalberta.com and officiating@tenniscanada.com
